Founder’s Story

“A bottle of shampoo is not just for cleaning; it carries the dream of true scalp health. From my childhood memories of my mother using natural tea seed cakes to our modern herbal formulations, my philosophy has never changed: to combine the wisdom of nature with scientific innovation, bringing safe, effective, and healthy care to every consumer.” — Zhong Qiang, Founder of Yikangyuan

1998 · The Inspiration & Heritage Graduating as a fine chemical engineer, Founder Zhong Qiang entered the cosmetics R&D field. Working on the front lines, he saw firsthand how traditional shampoos relied heavily on harsh chemical anti-dandruff agents. These chemicals temporarily solved one problem but often caused secondary scalp irritation and damage. As the 66th-generation heir of the Lingnan Zhong family, he was inspired by his mother’s traditional hair care methods using natural camellia seeds. He realized the true future of hair care lay not in stronger chemicals, but in exploring the healing power of natural herbs.

2004 · A Beginning Journey & Scientific Formulations Driven by a profound passion for natural hair care, Zhong Qiang officially founded the company. He dedicated himself to integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) philosophy with modern advanced extraction technologies. By applying the ancient TCM formulation principle of “Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi” (the scientific, synergistic combination of primary and supportive botanical ingredients), he pioneered a completely new path for pure herbal personal care designed to nurture the scalp from the roots up.

2012 · Breakthrough in Herbal Innovation Years of relentless R&D culminated in a major milestone: the company successfully pioneered the integration of ginger micro-powder into shampoos, effectively addressing sub-healthy scalp conditions and hair thinning.
